Images, PDF and PowerPoint
Imported material becomes image slides with a title taken from the file and no description or hotspot. Add hotspots, instructions and covers in the editor afterwards, or use Generate with AI on each step.
Screenshots and photos
PNG, JPEG and WebP images up to 10 MB each are accepted. You can also drop images onto the canvas of an empty demo. Each file name, without its extension, becomes the step title, so naming files after the action (Open the Orders menu.png) saves retyping.
Images are cropped to the demo's screen format. Capture at the same window size and format for the whole workflow, so slides line up and hotspots stay in place. Edit photo on a slide adjusts the crop, rotation, zoom and contrast later; the original image is always kept.
Take a screenshot
Screenshot uses your browser's screen-sharing prompt to capture a tab, a window or your whole screen as one slide. It is not available in every browser; on phones and tablets, use Camera or the camera recorder. To capture many screens in a row, the browser recorder is faster.
PDF documents
Each page becomes one image slide titled with the file name and page number, up to 40 MB per file. Remove any password from the PDF before importing it. Text inside the pages becomes part of the image and is not translated; put the instructions in the step text.
PowerPoint presentations
Slides are imported in order as images, each titled with its slide title, up to 40 MB per file. Choose Match the presentation as the screen format to keep the deck's proportions. Animations and speaker notes are not imported. If some graphics are missing, export the deck as PDF from PowerPoint and import the PDF instead.
Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Steps per demo | 250 |
| Image upload | 10 MB per image |
| PDF or PowerPoint file | 40 MB |
Imports stop at the step limit. Your organization's plan can also limit the number of demos and the total storage.
