Overview and key concepts

Organizations

Every demo, demo hub and training course belongs to an organization. Your account starts with a personal one; you can create or join others. The organization selected at the top of the sidebar decides which demos you see, which plan and AI allowance apply, and what your role lets you do. Organizations never share demos, members or allowances.

Demos, slides and steps

  • A slide is one screen: a screenshot, photo, video, PDF page, PowerPoint slide, title slide or quiz question.
  • A step is one instruction on a slide: a title, a description, and usually a hotspot (where to click) or a highlight (where to look).
  • A slide can hold several steps. The screenshot stays still while the hotspot moves, which keeps viewers oriented on busy screens.

The start screen and end screen frame the walkthrough with a heading, buttons and an optional contact form.

Drafts and published versions

Every demo has two versions:

VersionWho sees itHow it changes
DraftMembers of your organization, in the editorSaved automatically while you edit
PublishedEveryone with the link or embed, demo hubs, courses and all exportsReplaced only when you Publish again

Nothing you edit reaches viewers until you publish. AI results land in the draft too, so you can review them first. See Publish and update.

Demo hubs and training courses

Both reuse published demos without copying them:

  • A demo hub is a public page that lists demos by category. Use it when anyone may browse.
  • A training course turns demos into lessons for named learners, with sign-in, progress, quiz pass marks, assignments and certificates. Use it when you need to know who completed what.

Interface language and demo language

The interface language (English, German, French, Spanish or Italian) applies to the application and the player's controls. A demo language is the language of a demo's own content; each demo has one main language and any number of translations. Changing one never changes the other.
