Comparison

Scribe vs Demo-Creator: pricing and features compared

Scribe and Demo-Creator both turn a process you click through into step-by-step guidance. Scribe focuses on documentation that writes itself while you work. Demo-Creator turns the same capture into interactive demos, illustrated manuals and training courses. The biggest practical difference is how the price grows as more people create guides.

What you pay as the team grows

Per-seat prices look small for one person and add up with every colleague who creates or edits guides. Demo-Creator charges the organization once, so the price stays the same for five people or fifty.

When Scribe is the better fit

  • You want documentation that writes itself: Autocapture turns work your team already does into guides.
  • You document desktop applications as well as web apps; desktop capture is part of the Pro plans.
  • You need on-screen walkthroughs in other apps, or automatic redaction of personal and health data on Enterprise.

When Demo-Creator is the better fit

  • Up to 10 people create guides. One organization price covers every member, so adding editors does not raise the bill.
  • You explain the same process in several languages. Translations and voiceovers belong to one demo instead of separate recordings.
  • You need to train people, not only inform them. Courses add quizzes, assignments, due dates, progress reports and verifiable certificates.
  • You share in more than one format. The same demo works as a link, an embed, a PDF manual, a PowerPoint deck or a video.
  • Data location matters. The hosted service runs in the EU and is operated from Switzerland, without advertising trackers.

Questions

Is Demo-Creator cheaper than Scribe?

For teams it usually is, because Demo-Creator charges per organization instead of per seat. Scribe Pro Team starts at $13 per seat per month billed yearly, with five seats minimum, so five people pay at least $65 per month. A single creator on Scribe Pro Personal pays less than a team, so compare the plan you would actually use.

Can I move my Scribe guides to Demo-Creator?

There is no direct import. Re-record frequently used processes with the browser recorder, or export a guide as a PDF on a Scribe Pro plan and import the PDF into Demo-Creator.

Do people viewing a Demo-Creator demo need an account?

No. Published demos open in the browser without an account or extension. You can add a password or an expiry date, or limit a link to listed email addresses and domains.

Can I try Demo-Creator before paying?

Yes. Start on the Free plan, or start the Plus trial without a credit card. Nothing is deleted when the trial ends; AI features pause and Free limits apply until you subscribe.
